Meredith is a focused and detail-oriented attorney, with experience in civil litigation and construction contract drafting and review. As a litigator, Meredith is committed to achieving the best possible results for her clients, whether through pre-litigation negotiation, alternative dispute resolution, or litigation. When drafting or reviewing construction contracts, Meredith uses her construction dispute litigation experience to help clients—whether general contractors, subcontractors, architects, or owners—best manage the risks inherent in construction projects large and small.

Meredith graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in biology and anthropology. She graduated summa cum laude and second in her class from Vermont Law School. During law school, Meredith was an Editor of the Vermont Law Review and taught legal writing to first year law students as a Dean’s Fellow. She earned the highest grade in nine of her law school courses and served as a teaching and research assistant in constitutional law, property, and legal research courses. Meredith interned with Vermont Legal Aid.

Meredith began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Justice Jon D. Levy when he sat on Maine’s Supreme Judicial Court. As a law clerk for Maine’s highest court, Meredith honed her legal writing skills while learning what judges look for when reviewing a case, and how they are best persuaded.

After her clerkship, Meredith joined Bernstein Shur, one of Maine’s largest law firms, where she practiced as a litigation and construction law attorney for over seven years and became a shareholder of the firm. Meredith built her litigation practice advocating for clients in a wide range of matters, from residential construction disputes to large multi-district national litigation. She learned to tailor her approach to the unique needs of her clients and their individual matters.

Meredith lives with her husband and three daughters on a small family vegetable farm in Bowdoinham. She currently serves as chair of the board of directors for Maine Farmland Trust.
